OK, so my phone, in all its 3megapixel glory doesn't really take GREAT pictures. But, in its defense, making a good picture doesn't really require a great camera. It's all in the photographer's eyes (which, id like to think I have.. hahaha!). Plus, my phone ROCKS in a business-phone type of way.. so I still lurve it :D |

This month, Onil cooked breakfast for us twice already :) in his new pad. I loved it! I love his lutong bahay delicacies. Plus the fact that his building is almost adjacent to mine. :D
The most recent one, Feb 6, ended in an impromptu photo shoot in the rooftop of his condo :) Got to try my new Flash, finally. hehehe. |

Misseed bonding with my BFFs, and since we did not have a class at Advanced Photography that day, I decided to have lunch first with my Bs :D
Aura and I heard Mass first at Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes and then we had lunch at Old Vine in Piazza.The place was nice, i just hope that all the restos there would open already. It would be better to hang out there when it does :D
Coffee at CBTL in Ghills capped this super Sunday :D What a great way to end the week =)

Feels good to have free breakfast after a very long day at work, courtesy of my boss, Barney Stinson aka Bryan Madariaga =) Loved the bread that I ordered, I think it would suffice for my unending craving for 3 cheeses and ham in Italian Bread :D
PS: Converted the raw images i took to jpeg using DPP. Hmm. i think something is wrong coz it gave this matte effect on the pictures which Im not really fond of.. tsk... or does it have something to do with me shooting these in ISO 1600? |

I couldn't say it was the best day ever since I lost my phone in the morning, but luckily, it was replaced by a trophy for my Still Life entry in the afternoon. Quoting my friend Rox, "You can always buy a new phone but your trophy isn't something that can be bought".
I got praises for my Still Life entry but I also received critiques for my Portrait entry because my subject was too "yellow". Damn wrong white balance! hehehe. I'm really glad I took this Basic Photography class, it made me appreciate my camera more and it elevated my love for Photography to new heights. Hehe. It felt really nice to be recognized for my work, it gave me the boost to do better next time :D Love it! |

For our final homework/entries for the photo contest, we had to shoot Glass photography. My entry, Sunset Chillin (this album's cover) got me a trophy for 3rd place among 25 entries. Happiness :D |

Redbox Trinoma, Manor Superclub
Had fun bonding with my college friends before the year closed. Started belting our hearts out at Redbox to a multitude of Spice Girls songs hahaha, followed by dinner and catching up sessions. Tarah decided to go out so I had to check if my contacts are still able to put us in the list, luckily Tyn and Bingo said it would still be ok, despite me texting at 7pm :D *sweet* hahaha.
Had to make a few necessary purchases given that the clubbing plan was totally impromptu :) Went to Manor for Wicked Wednesdays and spent time chilling to good club music over cocktails. The DJ played Because of you (ne Yo) and I totally flipped for that's my song-of-the-moment. Finally capped the night over coffee and fries and another catch up session.
Another night well spent with my college buddies. To be honest, we were not the type who goes clubbing and frequently parties out when we were in college -- and we're totally cool with that :) I'm glad to be able to catch up and spend a fun filled moment with ma ladies :D
PS: In an amazing stroke of genius (which we obviously are, given that we are all ISKAs -- hehehe), we were all wearing coordinated outfits, i.e. 2 girls were wearing yellow, 2 wore purple and 2 wore shaded of brown :) love it! |

Heya 2010!
I was all prepped up for shooting fireworks a few minutes before ushering this new year. I had so much fun doing so, but I was extra cautious so as not to harm Pixelle :D I'm happy that my shots turned out ok (Our Basic Photography class stressed to LOVE YOUR WORK first before letting anyone love em - hahaha). I, however, would've wanted to have the chance to shoot fireworks in the roof deck of our condo :) That would've been marvelous considering the fireworx and the Makati skyline :D
While eating our NYE meal, Rayel arrived from work. Im glad he chose to spend the NY with us :) After the meal, we hiked up my childhood friends and played Taboo and Guesstures over shots of Tequila. The catch was, the group who loses for every round gets a shot. I must've been unlucky that time for I remember downing one shot after another hahahaha!
A horrific incident happened while we were playing taboo :( I heard soft whimpers and when we looked outside, my Big Bear was being knocked up by some random flea-laden mongrel :( sad.. im glad Biggie was ok, but I certainly dont plan on becoming a grandma soon. hmp.
After catching up with my friends, we tried creating light images using "lusis" and took crazy/unsuccessful jump shots/group shots. Im happy that game night was a success even if some of my friends were not there. We still had loads of fun :D What a great way to welcome 2010. |

Christmas Eve at home
This year, I am lucky coz I get to spend both Xmas Eve and NY Eve at home with my family. An incident such as this is very unlikely especially if one works in the call center industry. Its fun to celebrate Xmas here in Bulacan for you can really feel the cool Christmas breeze :D
As part of the tradition, we went to hear Xmas Eve mass in our local parish (which, i should mention, now looks magnificent - i hope my pics did our church justice, hehehe). After the Xmas eve mass, we went to have our pictures taken (which, again, has become a yearly tradition since i bought my own cam (circa Marea-was-a-digicam-user) :D
Good thing this year, i'm blessed with a better cam (unfortunately, not "better pictures *hmp*) but what I'm happy about our pics this year is that my dog, Big Bear cooperated really well after much prodding and cunning attempts to lure her to look at the camera :D
They say, Filipinos celebrate Xmas the best (some even start celebrating once the BER months come along), but nothing beats celebrating xmas with your family and the people and canine-folk closest to your heart.Here's to a happy KISSmass to everyone! |

As expected, I had a blast bonding and (ahem) drinking with my previous team. I'm happy that they allowed me to hang with them and celebrate :D Major fun playing my new toy, Guesstures, and playing Pinoy Henyo *Apir to Ryan* coz we won hahaha! Gulp time = sharing horror stories! Oh yeah! Witching hour daw oh hahaha! :D major laughtrip over the stories that they shared over Absolut Vanilia and Sprite :D (oh yeah, red horse for Alex and Marky) :D
Love you Team M (now known as Team Tyn Building) it was great to spend the holidays with you.. Reminiscing Xmas of last year when we spent it at the ofc. Hahaha!
Marea loves Team M. For those who flaked, why oh why?? joke.. You know I still love you guys hehehe :D
BTW, the cuddliest part of the party was hanging out and playing Mommy to Wrinkles, Tyn's 3mo old pug.. Cuteness! |

It was still a great afternoon with Pia-tot :D had lunch at CPK wherein I let her sit on the same spot that her Kuya sat on a few months ago :)
Enjoyed the same Turtle Sundae (thats super sugar-rush inducing) hahaha, followed by impromptu xmas gift shopping and hanging out at CBTL -- which, as it turns out, doesn't offer free WIFI anymore since you have to buy their swirl card :)
Funny, coz after connecting with their WIFI, i found out that globe had an unsecured network in the same spot that I was in.. Nyerx..
